依据 [《医学委员会关于变性手术治疗的医疗行业规定的伦理条例（佛历 2552 年 ）》](https://www.tmc.or.th/download/jul09-02.pdf) 与 [《医学委员会关于为性身份困惑或希望通过接受变性手术进行治疗的人提供指导的公告》](http://www.thailawforum.com/Guidelines-sex-change-operations.html)，在泰国接受性别重置手术，需要：

1. 1. 年满 18 岁，但未满 20 岁，必须得到合法父母或授权监护人的同意
   1. 已满 20 岁
1. 至少两名精神科医生的鉴定，对于已有精神科证明的外国人，则必须在手术前接受至少一名泰国精神科医生的评估
1. 至少度过了一年的女性生活（[RLE]({{< ref "abbreviation#rle" >}})）
